The machine is equipped with a high‑precision manual tool change spindle. Unlike automatic tool changers that add complexity and cost, this design keeps the system straightforward and easy to maintain. Operators can quickly switch between drill bits or tap tools – no special training required. When combined with the program‑free CNC system, change tools in min, not a long time.

Dual spindle automatic positioning

CNC automatic countersinking and tapping. High-precision servo motor and driver are used to achieve precise motion control.

This guide explains why countersinking and tapping matter in sheet metal. It gives step-by-step procedures, tool selection advice, material-specific parameters, troubleshooting tips, and an inspection checklist you can use on the shop floor. Introduction to Sheet Metal Countersink and Tapping What Are Countersink and Tapping in Sheet Metal Fabrication? The purpose of countersinking is to […]
Countersinking allows the head of a fastener—such as a screw or rivet—to sit flush with or slightly below the surface of the workpiece. In sheet metal fabrication, countersinking is a standard operation prior to assembly for enclosures, control cabinets, and battery boxes.
This serves several important purposes:
Assemblies fit right – no screw heads getting in the way
Looks clean – flat surfaces make products look better
Even load – the whole screw head contacts the surface, not just one spot
Ready for finishing – flat surface means paint or seals go on without bumps
Safer to handle – no sharp screw heads sticking out, especially on cabinets and doors
Pretty much anywhere you use screws to put things together. Common ones:
Sheet metal & electrical enclosures – cabinets, control boxes, distribution panels need threaded holes for hinges, locks, rails, components
EV & energy storage – battery pack housings, storage cabinets – module mounting, busbar connections, cover sealing all need tapped holes
Electronics & telecom – server racks, base station enclosures, outdoor waterproof boxes – lots of holes, tight tolerances
Workholding fixtures – jigs, gauge plates, custom machinery bases – covered in threaded holes
Lighting & appliances – lamp housings, appliance panels – countersunk screws give a clean look
Medical & precision instruments – enclosures and internal parts where surface flatness and cleanliness matter
Standard cabinets or custom parts – if it uses threaded fasteners, countersinking and tapping are part of the job.
It comes down to speed, consistency, and fewer headaches.
